Your Flexible Circuit Designs, Our Manufacturing Expertise

Multilayer flex circuits work well in applications involving denser assemblies. Designs typically consist of 2-6 conductive layers and the appropriate number of insulating layers: one between each conductive layer and two outside layers on top and bottom. Overall thickness ranges from 9.1 (.0091”) to 23.5 (.0235”) mils in most designs.

With a more rigid construction compared to other types of flex circuits, many of our customers select multilayer circuits for their thickness characteristics. When required, these circuits can be designed with more flexibility for use in complex circuit assemblies. Controlled impedance and EMI-shielded designs are also achievable with this type of circuit.

A Design for Manufacturing Assessment is part of our circuit assembly process, and our engineers will discuss any requirements specific to your application. We have decades of experience working with medical and aerospace/defense OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers, and we have achieved a 99% quality ratio since 2008. You can trust that your multilayer flex circuit assembly will be delivered on time and to your specifications.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Orders of any size are welcome. If you have questions about volume discounts, please include an inquiry with your design submission.

These services are available by request and undergo the same design submission and review process as standard orders. We specialize in supporting customer prototyping and modifications through multiple phases of product testing.

Flexible circuit boards are thin, lightweight, and can conform to contours and uneven surfaces. Despite being approximately 80% thinner than traditional circuit boards, flexible circuits are highly durable and suitable for applications ranging from small wearable electronics to medical imaging equipment.
