IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries announced the November findings from its monthly North American Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Statistical Program. Rigid PCB shipments declined 11.3 percent and bookings were down 4.1 percent in November 2009 from November 2008. Year to date, rigid PCB shipments were down 24.8 percent and bookings fell by 21.3 percent. See IPC Results on page 2.

Flex Circuit design vs. PCB Flex circuits still only account for about 15% of the overall printed circuit market. So it’s understandable that there are still questions about the design of a flex circuit vs. traditional printed circuits boards (PCBs). PCBs have been in existence since the early 1960s and there are many experienced PCB designers working confidently around the world.
